In Conversation: Susannah Dickey and Glenn Patterson

Director of the Seamus Heaney Centre, Glenn Patterson, will be in discussion with celebrated author and Queen’s student, Susannah Dickey to talk about her debut novel 'Tennis Lessons',  and to find out more about her life and career.

Susannah - who graduated from Queen’s in 2017 with a BA in Creative Writing - released Tennis Lessons in July 2020 to critical acclaim and is currently working on her second novel. She will be discussing the success of the book as well as her influences and her road to becoming a published author. Susannah is also the author of two poetry pamphlets, both published by Lifeboat Press, and is currently completing a PhD at the Seamus Heaney Centre.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the novel in a live Q&A session. If you haven’t already read Tennis Lessons, click here to buy a copy and join the discussion. Also catch Susannah reading an excerpt from Tennis Lessons in the Seamus Heaney Centre Presents HELP, available to watch on the QFT Player.

Join us on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:00 pm. More information is available here, and email alu...@qub.ac.uk to register.
