You are invited!   Join us for the Sound Links Block Party – a community-led celebration of Townsend Street and its people on International Peace Day 2024 from 2pm Saturday 21st September. A partnership between the Ulster Orchestra and Townsend Enterprise Park with Zeppo Arts Management, Sound Links celebrates the heritage of the area and after a day of free activities, performances and more, the Ulster Orchestra will give    the premiere of three new works, commissioned as part of the project.

The best part? Admission is free and everyone is welcome! This vibrant outdoor event promises an unforgettable day filled with live music, bustling markets, energetic dance performances and delicious food offerings - something for everyone to enjoy. Our block party is part of the Belfast 2024 programme, celebrating creativity and culture. Live Music Enjoy captivating performances by the from classical pieces to contemporary soul, funk and dance- the live music lineup is sure to delight audiences of all ages. Markets Browse through a diverse array of market stalls featuring local artisans, craftspeople and vendors. Dance Experience dynamic dance performances that will get everyone moving, from traditional Irish and Scottish dances to modern routines. Food Indulge in a wide selection of food options from local food trucks and vendors, there will be plenty of delicious choices to satisfy your taste buds. Kids’ Activities Workshops, bouncy castles and more.. Sound Links Evening Concert – an evening performance of three new commissions by the Ulster Orchestra about Townsend Street at 8pm.
