GAZE and NTA announce
starGAZE 2026 recipients
|
|
|
GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival and the National Talent Academy for Film & TV Drama have announced the 2026 starGAZE recipients, a professional development initiative to support emerging LGBTQIA filmmakers, returning for its third edition.
Aileen Ye, Carys D Coburn, Luke Faulkner, Ross O’Donnellan, Shannon Haly and Thomas Purdy were announced as the six filmmakers who will be platformed during the 2026 festival, as well as access to talks, screenings and networking events and receiving mentorship throughout the following year.

This course will take a barrier removal approach. It will cover the basics of production, where access barriers may arise and how to advocate for and on behalf of deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent cast and crew, from Greenlight to Post, on set and off.

Crew East | Expression of Interest: Camera Ronin Course for Camera Assistants

This two-day, hands-on course is designed to give working 2nd and 1st Assistant Camera crew the skills to build, balance and troubleshoot gimbal systems with confidence, and to support the camera team effectively from the moment the gear comes out.
