This is your last chance to see our compelling exhibition Influence and Identity: Twentieth Century Portrait Photography from the Bank of America Collection, featuring the works of master photographers such as Richard Avedon, Bernice Abbott and Yousuf Karsh, closes 8 October.
Not to be missed is Kevin Atherton’s brilliant video installation, In Two Minds, also closing on 8 October.
Also on show is a major solo exhibition A Renewed Language by renowned American artist Howardena Pindell. IMMA Director, Annie Fletcher, will give a gallery tour on Fri 13 October at 1.15pm.
Other exhibitions include two painting shows Coming Home Late, Jo Baer In the Land of the Giants and Anne Madden: Seven Paintings.
Later this month, the first instalment of a major new museum wide exhibition, Self-Determination: A Global Perspective, opens as part of the Decade of Centenaries Programme.

Flipbook Animation Workshop

Celebrate great architecture at IMMA! In this workshop for 8 to 13 year olds you can learn to create a flipbook animation inspired by the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Part of Irish Architecture Foundation’s Open House Junior programme.

Self-Determination: A Global Perspective

The culmination of a three-year research project, this exhibition focuses on the new nation-states that emerged in the wake of the First World War, exploring the role of art and artists in relation to the expression of national identities, nation-building, and statecraft.
