The Final Deadline of the Spring Season Short Film Fund is today, May 4th, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time!
The Short Film Fund offers an opportunity for emerging screenwriters and filmmakers to receive much-needed financial support to get their work produced and distributed.
Our partnerships with ARRI Rental, Oscar-nominated producer Maria Gracia Turgeon, and Tribeca short film programmer Kimberley Browning elevate the films that come through our Fund with free camera equipment, mentorship, and film festival strategy.

The Grand Prize Winner (production grant category) will receive:
- A cash grant of $15,000 to produce their short script
- Free camera equipment rental from ARRI Rental for the duration of production
- Support from Shore Scripts from development to distribution

|
|
The Finishing Funds Winner will receive:
- A cash grant of $4,000 in finishing funds for a short film currently in post-production
- Support from Shore Scripts through post-production and distribution

|
Cameron Kwan won the Short Film Fund with her stop-motion animated short film PAPER DAUGHTER, a film about a young Chinese woman who grapples with the guilt of using the identity of a deceased girl to immigrate to the US via Angel Island in 1926. PAPER DAUGHTER is now an official selection of Annecy Int'l.

| TWOBEARS by Anthony Florez |

|
Anthony won the Short Film Fund with his script about underdog Casey TwoBears, a veteran whose life has been a constant state of survival. TWOBEARS was nominated for Best Short at the Palm Springs Film Festival and won the Best Director award at IMDb’s Independent Short Film Festival.
