New Event: How to Write A Survey |
Planning an audience survey? Let’s make it count. Our next thrive event will take a practical look at how to write surveys that people actually complete AND give you insights you can use. We’ll cover how to structure your questions, what to include (and what to leave out), and how to keep surveys clear, focused and easy for audiences to respond to. Ideal for anyone planning audience research, starting from scratch, or keen to improve a survey they’re already using. When: Thursday, May 14, 10:30 - 12:30 pm Where: University of Atypical, Belfast |

Unticketed events are notoriously hard when it comes to audience feedback. People are moving, there’s no booking data, and “we’ll send a survey later” rarely works. So when our Head of Sector Development, Verity Peet, set out to collect IMPACT responses at the St Patrick’s Day festival in Downpatrick, expectations were… modest. She came back with 416. No team. No paid push. Just a smart plan and a lot of legwork. In this blog, we break down what actually made the difference, from how she approached people on the day to what she did before and after the event to keep responses climbing. If you’re running unticketed events and struggling to gather meaningful feedback, this is worth five minutes… |

Work in Progress: Engage (our new participation survey) |
We’ve been working on something new… Our upcoming ENGAGE participation survey is designed to help organisations understand the people who take part, not just those who attend - the do-ers. It’s early days, and we’re sharing the thinking while it’s still taking shape. This is a peek behind the scenes: what we’re testing, why it matters, and how it might evolve. If participation is part of your work, this one’s worth a look. |
