Hi my name is Bobby Joe Edgar and I’m a film student at Belfast Metropolitan College.
As part my course we have been asked to create a short drama film. My film was chosen to be created and it’s called Final Boarding Call.
The story follows a Belfast man who lost his wife during the 9/11 attacks. After receiving that his wife’s remains have finally been found he most travel to pay his respects to his late wife. However there’s one problem he hasn’t been on a plane for 24 years since she died. Through flashbacks and the help of his mother he must overcome his fear of flying to pay his respects to his wife.
At the moment we have 2 actors who are playing an older version of the character and a younger version of the character.
We are looking someone to play the characters wife.
Role:
Name: Sarah
Age: 26
Hair colour: Brown
About: Sarah was Michael’s wife of 5 years but tragically died on September 11th, 2001. Sarah is 26 and is from Belfast also. At the time of her death Sarah was on a work trip on behalf of her company who had a business in The World Trade Centre in New York. The flashbacks show their last moments that they had together, including the love they share and the argument that she and Michael had.
The role is an PAID ROLE with food and travel included.
Production details
Place: Belfast Metropolitan College, Castlereagh Campus.
Date: 1 day shoot, 17th April 2026
