Ballyscullion Park Children’s Book Festival Timetable |
|
|
We are delighted to announce our children’s book festival timetable on Sunday 17th May. There will be a fascinating mixture of sessions to encourage children’s imagination and creativity while nurturing an interest in writing and poetry.
Not only will there be sessions that they can pick and choose from, there will also be delicious food from the excellent caterers to enjoy as well as a fantastic artisan market to support. There are beautiful walks around the gardens and grounds and parents / carers can tag team and watch one of the main talks going on in the other venues.
If you have a child that you think would love to take part in a literary afternoon, please consider booking tickets or send it on to someone you think may enjoy the experience. |

Book Festival Launch2 Royal Avenue Belfast |
|
|
Last Thursday we were delighted to celebrate our official Ballyscullion Park launch at 2 Royal Avenue in Belfast. We welcomed past festival attendees, press and supporters of the arts to this incredible space to share in the excitement in the lead up to the festival in May.
Festival Director Rosalind Mulholland welcomed everyone to the event and was followed by an introduction by David and Iris about the important work of the NI Children’s Hospice and their partnership with the festival.
2026 festival speakers Andy Heyn, Rebecca Brownlie (Abandoned NI), Lyndsy Spence and Dr. Paul Harron all shared what they will talk about during their sessions at the festival and why they are excited to be taking part.
As an entirely self funded, family-run festival, we are so appreciative of all the support we receive, thank you! |

Leading up to the festival, our speakers are going to share a little about who they are and what they will be talking about at the festival. There is such a brilliant mix of speakers on topics you may already been interested in and, hopefully, new genres to pique your interest 📚 |

We are immensely proud to partner with the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice to support the extraordinary work they do for children and families across the region.
Their compassionate, specialist care provides comfort, dignity, and vital support to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions, as well as much-needed guidance for their families.
Through this partnership, we hope not only to celebrate literature and community, but also to help raise awareness and meaningful support for the essential services they provide every day. |
