Hi everyone, It’s been another busy and exciting week across film and TV with continued recognition for the incredible work of women both on and off screen in the lead up to the BAFTA TV and Craft Awards. We’re particularly proud to see WFTV Awards 2025 winners Chloe English and Janice Okoh receive their nominations.
Back at WFTV, we’ve also got a great programme of events and initiatives for our members designed to help you achieve great things too. We hope you get involved. |

There are only five days left to apply for our 2026 Production Management Programme, supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund.
The Julie Burnell Scholarship supports women in the North of England working in production management or line producing with a particular focus on those from underrepresented or lower socio-economic backgrounds. We’ll select four participants for this career-accelerating opportunity, honouring Julie Burnell’s legacy.
If you’ve been thinking about applying, now is the time. Submit your application now, or share it with someone in your network who shouldn’t miss out. |

Tomorrow we’re hosting a very special conversation with Big Mood’s Camilla Whitehill, Rebecca Asher, and Lotte Beasley. It’s an incredible chance to hear from the creative team that brought this beloved show to life. These kinds of conversations are always really useful; particularly if you’re developing your own work and want a clearer sense of how projects move from ideas to a finished series. Book your spot now. |

For WFTV members in Cardiff (or nearby), we’re hosting a straightforward, practical look at how post-production works on a day-to-day basis. It’s a chance to hear from experts doing the job, ask questions, and make connections with fellow makers. You’ll also get a guided tour of a working post-production facility too! We can’t wait to see you there. Book your place for this in-person event now. |

Finally, there’s a new opportunity to join the WFTV team. We’re looking for a Project Manger (Maternity Cover) to join our team for the next six months. We’re looking for somebody who can shape, organise and deliver our year-round programmes and projects whilst also managing some key stakeholder relationships. You can read the full job description and find details on how to apply over on our careers page.
Have a great week.
