Last month, Belfast showed the world what solidarity looks like.
What began as a modest GoFundMe target of £1,000 to deliver food to families unable to leave their homes safely during the recent unrest became something extraordinary: £14,270 raised, hundreds of families supported, 75 volunteers mobilised, and a community that showed up for each other again and again.
That response can't be a one-off. It has to become something lasting.
The work is not finished.
We're bringing the community back together, online, this time, to shape two new workshop initiatives growing directly out of what we learned during the response effort. We need your voice before we finalise the plans.
The Workshops We're Developing
🍲 Ruchira's Supper Club & Cooking Workshops
Bringing people together around food - sharing culture, stories, and connection across communities through cooking and shared meals.
📖 Still I Rise Stories: Inclusion Workshops for Children & Young People
Story-led sessions for children and young people exploring identity, belonging, and anti-racism, building on Still I Rise Voices' work in schools and communities across Northern Ireland.
