Dear Stu,
That’s a wrap on DIFF 2026, and what a festival it’s been.
Over eleven unforgettable days, we welcomed world premieres, sold-out galas, powerful documentaries, bold new voices, and extraordinary guests from across the globe. From the electric Opening Night of Once Upon a Time in a Cinema, to unforgettable Film Club conversations, packed auditoriums, standing ovations, and a glittering Closing Night at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre with Power Ballad, DIFF 2026 was a true celebration of cinema.
We were thrilled to host Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Colin Farrell, Alice Winocour, Ellen Mirojnick, Alice Krige, Bill Nighy, Maisie Williams and so many more artists whose generosity and talent lit up the festival.
Most importantly, thank you to our audiences, filmmakers, partners, volunteers, and supporters. Your energy, curiosity, and love of film are what make DIFF possible.
And now, we look ahead.
DIFF 2027 will mark our 25th anniversary, a major milestone for the festival. We’re already planning something very special, and we can’t wait to celebrate this landmark year with you.
Until then, keep watching, keep discovering, and keep going to the cinema.
