A FILTHY DIRTY RUMOUR

WED 22 - SAT 25 JULY 2026

IT’S THE LIES WE TELL OURSELVES THAT WILL KILL US IN THE END.

In the suffocating quiet of 1950s Belfast, Ruth and Oscar’s marriage is already over—though neither dares to say it aloud. Childless, sexless, and bound by silence, they exist side by side as strangers. One evening, Ruth invites their new lodger Eva in for a drink, and in that fleeting moment of tenderness, something dangerous is awakened.

When Ruth’s devout sister Alma witnesses the encounter, she sees not vulnerability but sin. Her judgment sets off a devastating chain reaction, exposing buried desires and unravelling lives already stretched to breaking point.

MARIE JONES' THE BLIND FIDDLER

FRI 31 JULY - SUN 16 AUG 2026

Marie Jones' magic weaves live traditional music with our unique sense of humour for an un-FLEADH-gettable show.

The Blind Fiddler is a drama-comedy set in a traditional Irish music pub in Belfast. Inspired by a true story, it follows Kathleen Gormley, who grows up above the pub during the Troubles, caught between her mother’s desire to move up and away from working-class life and her father’s deep connection to music, storytelling and tradition.

As an adult, following the death of someone she once loved and no longer fully recognises, Kathleen is drawn back into her past to uncover a hidden family secret. Along the way, she reflects on memory, identity and belonging, all shaped by her father’s vivid stories of The Blind Fiddler—tales that may be more than just fiction.
