Welcome to our April newsletter Our Annual Review Exhibition Opens at PS2 Gallery Sonorities Festival Exhibition at DAS BLINK brings together a curated selection of work developed by artists in residence at Digital Arts Studios over the past year. The exhibition will run at PS2 Gallery from Thursday 2nd - Saturday 25th of April ‘26. ARTISTS: Alannah Bates Catherine Chapman Silvia Koistinen Vanissa Law Anna Vidamour BLINK brings together works that explore moments of perceptual slippage, where images glitch, dissolve, or drift. There are no stable truths here, no fixed positions or clear narratives; yet the body returns as a site of orientation, resisting the speed and fragmentation of contemporary culture. Collectively, these works speak to a present marked by perceptual instability, where digital mediation, sensory overload, and fractured attention have unsettled how we locate ourselves in the world. BLINK insists that while meaning may be unstable, it is not absent. Opening Hours: 2nd - 25th of April ‘26, Tuesday to Saturday, 12 - 5pm. Click for further information We are proud to present Live Organs, Mechanised Ghosts, an installation by Sam Longbottom as part of Sonorities Festival 2026. Live Organs, Mechanical Ghosts is an ongoing project for computer-controlled organ pipes and balloons. Large 72” balloons act as air reserves, feeding solenoid valves triggered by a computer. Air is then passed into a smaller lung-like balloon attached to an organ pipe, allowing each note to swell, glide, and fade in ways unlike traditional organs. The music lies uncannily between the clearly artificial control of air flow heard through the clicking of valves and the organic nature of the sounding pipes—though themselves ‘glitching’ as their supplied air pressure fluctuates. It is repetitive and self-similar music created from an algorithmically processed extract of material from Medieval composer Pycard. It is delicate music, melancholic and mechanical sighs gently evaporating and surrounded by phantom glitches.
