How are you faring in this heat, Stu?
I have it on good authority (BBC weather) that by this time next week the wave will have broken, and we can get back to complaining about our BBQ’s being called off.
So why not join me for our latest Writing Day: Short Story? That way, you can spend the rest of the summer immersed in worlds of your own creation, writing stories you’ll be keen to share.
Over one swift day, award-winning writer and tutor Manya Wilkinson will provide you with the formula for a winning short story.
By the end of the day, you’ll have:
• The 7 ingredients of a successful story
• A memorable protagonist
• A page-turning plot
• The first page of a story
• A distinctive writing style
In other words, everything you need to write multiple short stories.
The day runs from 10am-4pm. You have two chances to attend: Friday 3 July or Sunday 5 July. Tickets cost £100.
If, like me, you want to spend your summer writing, this is our starting point.
See you next week,
Lucy
