Logline: An overburdened assistant to a two-faced TV show host must decide whether he should take action or not when he makes a shocking discovery about his boss.
Synopsis: Working to provide money for his ailing brother (Alan), David, the overworked assistant to popular TV show host Andy Blake, makes a shocking discovery. This involves the show's charitable works towards the children's hospital where David's brother (Alan) is situated. Andy and the higher-ups are taking most of the money for themselves.
After discovering this, David takes matters into his own hands and finally stands up to his abusive boss. With the help of Scarlet, the show's telephone operator, he pretends to be a caller on the show and exposes Andy live on television.
Once the call ends, David and Scarlet share a conversation, and they both realise that what they did was the right thing to do, despite the possibility that it might lead to more problems for them. David makes his way to the hospital to visit his brother, unbothered by the fallout from Andy and his show, or what awaits him afterwards, but simply knowing that he has finally exposed Andy and the show to the world.
A note from the director:
Brief bio: The younger brother of David. Growing up, Alan would spend a lot of time with him and always looked up to him. He always tries to stay positive in bad situations and talks to his brother to get his mind off of troubling things, now with his illness, he does it more frequently.
Loves talking to David and spending time with him.
Likes to prank call his mam with funny voice changers.
Does his best to stay positive.
Another thing I would say in terms on direction that when doing scene 4 he's a bit worse for wear but calls David to get his mind off of it. So in that scene he would sound a bit more sickly but still has the positive attitude
And he's obviously completely unaware about what's going on with David and how he's being treated
