MegaCon
Paul and Seamus were tabling at MegaCon earlier this month, with John popping in to sit with Seamus for a while on Saturday, and Mari paying a visit.
Paul, surrounded by art and stories
Seamus, held hostage by Nico*
MegaCon is always a fun convention. Things were a bit bigger this year, which mostly meant lots of additional traders, and the comics tables were slightly isolated from the others. Still, we in Comics Village held our heads high and loved getting to speak to people about the books on our tables!
It's a great start to our year, and we're looking forward to next year's event already!
*for legal reasons, this is a joke
Events
We have two shows confirmed for 2026 so far:
March 2026
Dublin Comic Con, Convention Centre Dublin, March 7th - 8th - Paul, Seamus, Mari and John tabling
October 2026
Octocon, Clayton Hotel Cork City, October 3rd - 4th - Paul attending
Which events will we see you at? We'll have more to add to the calendar soon!
We're also still waiting to find out what's happening with DCAF after the closure of The Complex, the venue they had signed on with for another year shortly before they announced imminent eviction. We'll keep you posted for those who like to attend events in Dublin!
Project Updates
Bump in the Night is returning soon, but it needs your help to get some eyes on it. You can follow the Zoop campaign page to be alerted when it goes live. Telling your friends about the book - especially if you've liked our other anthologies - is a great way to help us get the sign-ups on track to get this one funded.
Art Drop
Hey, lets bring back an old part of the newsletter!
John McGuinness's visit to MegaCon brought with it some original art to accompany The Dark in the Tower.
And just to make us all swoon over his art, he also posted this gorgeous Superman piece on his Instagram!

This one came in a little bit late, but we couldn't miss a month of the LB Bulletin! We'll be back again at the end of February, ahead of Dublin Comic Con!
