A DAY WITH BRUISER

Almost sold out — waiting lists now open

Our annual schools’ programme A Day with Bruiser returns this January/February with an incredible line-up of workshops led by Bruiser’s professional artists. We’re delighted that the event is nearly at capacity, with over 500 young people set to attend across the full programme at the start of 2026.

Gemma Mae Halligan - Guest Facilitator; Co-founder of Amadan Ensemble; actor and maker with extensive national credits.
Richard Galloway - Actor, theatre-maker, facilitator; founder of Buglight Theatre; specialist trainer across physical theatre, Laban, clowning, and devising.
Rob Crawford - Bruiser’s Facilitator in Residence; actor, director and specialist trainer delivering education programmes across NI.
Toni McElhatton - Education Officer; theatre-maker, facilitator and specialist trainer in devising and co-creating with young people and communities.

Ensemble practice and group choreography

The day will culminate exploring ways to compare and contrast studiend practitioners with KS4+ students.

WASTED | SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY TOUR

This spring, Bruiser tours Wasted by Kat Woods (age 16+) to schools as part of Belfast City Council’s Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) initiative.

In partnership with ASCERT and Nexus, this powerful production tackles the impact of sexual violence, the role of alcohol, and the emotional and legal consequences faced by young people.

Described as “a piece of work that can actually save lives,” the tour includes:

Post-show discussions
Learning resources and CPD for teachers
Specialist-led workshops

We will also be presenting Wasted in a range of community settings (additional funding support).

Supported by: Belfast City Council EVAWG, Halifax Community Foundation, ACNI Lottery, and the Garfield Weston Foundation.

We have space for a small number of community venues across NI to host the show and can direct local schools to their nearest venue if you contact us here.
