Selected Projects for 2026 
Short Film Funding Schemes Announced 🎬

The National Talent Academy (NTA) for Film & TV, an initiative of Screen Ireland managed by Ardán, is delighted to announce the teams selected for the 2026 First Credit Short Film Scheme and NTA Short Film Fund.

Following a highly competitive open call which attracted hundreds of applications from across Ireland, five live-action short film projects have been selected to receive funding, mentorship and professional development support through the schemes.

The National Talent Academy for Animation is delighted to announce paid work placement opportunities for 3 Clean Up Artists with Studio Meala on 'My Two Cars', a new series they are working on for Green Street Pictures and Adult Swim.

AVENUE Prime Time Lab

The Prime Time Lab brings emerging talent together in Denmark (August - September) to develop animated TV series in an international, industry-focused environment.

It is open to experienced graduates in Character Design, Storyboard, and Animation. Full travel, accommodation, and daytime meals are covered.

Crew South | Set Etiquette

This one-day in-person course will provide participants with the basic knowledge required to start on a production and be ‘set-ready’.
This course will enable participants to hit the ground running their first day on the set of a production.

Crew | Access Coordinator Course

This course will take a barrier removal approach. It will cover the basics of production, where access barriers may arise and how to advocate for and on behalf of deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent cast and crew, from Greenlight to Post, on set and off.

Crew Academies | Crew Shadowing Scheme

The Crew shadowing scheme is for experienced crew on the verge of upgrading to a HOD role. 

During a shadowing program, participants, known as "shadows", closely follow and observe the day-to-day activities of an experienced professional on a production.

Crew West | Seacht Scéal an tSamhraidh
(A Summer of Irish)

Seacht Scéal an tSamhraidh is a 7-week self-led online course for upper beginner/lower intermediate level learners, to help build a sustainable habit and gain real understanding of Irish. A slower more relaxed way to advance your Irish built around stories, listening, rhythm and real Irish.

Crew East | Job Share Employers Info Session

This lunch & learn info session, taking place online on 17 June, is the first in the series for 2026, and is designed for employers in the screen sector who are interested in knowing more about facilitating job sharing on their productions.
