Writers – don't miss this incredible opportunity!
Date with an Agent submissions close Tuesday 7th April at midnight. 

The selected writers will take part in one-to-one sessions with some of the most sought-after agents in Ireland and the UK. This is a unique chance to get professional feedback on your manuscript and make connections with top industry professionals. The selected agents represent a wide range of writers across various genres. 

For Adult Fiction the agents are:  Maria Whelan (Mushens Entertainment) – Literary Fiction / Book Club, John Baker (Bell Lomax Moreton) – Speculative / Sci-Fi / Romantasy / Fantasy, Jade Kavanagh (Darley Anderson Agency & Associates) – Crime / Thriller, Isobel Dixon (Blake Friedmann Literary Agency) – Memoir / Historical Fiction, Shanika Hyslop (Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency) – Women’s Fiction.

For Children’s & YA the agents are: Molly Ker Hawn (David Higham Associates) – Teen & YA, Clare Wallace (Darley Anderson Children’s Book Agency) – Middle Grade, Sallyanne Sweeney (International Creative Agency) – Picture Books.

Our flagship two-day seminar returns with a brand new line up!
The Insiders' Guide to Publishing takes place across two days, with 22 May dedicated to children's and YA writing and 23 May dedicated to writing for adults.

Speakers include leading literary agents, top Irish editors (including Joanna Smyth, Editorial Director of Hachette Ireland and Helen Carr, Senior Editor, O’Brien Press)  debut authors (including Bernie McQuillan who was twice shortlisted for Date with An Agent and whose debut The Lobster Pot was longlisted for the Caledonian Novel Award and highly commended in the Irish Writer Centre’s Novel Awards and Christopher Galvin, author of The Thing About Giants), as well as the founder of  Writing.ie—Europe’s largest online resource for writers. 

Whether you're just starting out or preparing to submit your manuscript, these sessions are designed to demystify the publishing world and help you get your work noticed. An early bird rate is currently available for the seminar and is valid until 24 April.
