DIFF is proud to announce the appointment of acclaimed Irish film producer Redmond Morris. Morris is one of Ireland’s most respected producers, known for his work on celebrated films including The Wind That Shakes the Barley, The Dig, Interview with the Vampire, and Notes on a Scandal. His experience in Irish and international film production will play a key role in shaping DIFF’s strategic future.
His further credits include Michael Collins, The Crying Game, The Butcher Boy, The Book Thief, and the Academy Award-winning The Reader. Most recently, he produced Long Day’s Journey Into Night, starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris, which premiered at DIFF 2025.
About his appointment, Redmond said:
“I’m delighted to join the board of DIFF and look forward to contributing to its exciting work in supporting and championing the best of Irish and International cinema." |

| KinoD's MIDSUMMER WEEKEND FILMMAKING KABARETDoors from 6:30pm, 20 - 22 JUNE | Flux Studios D2, Chatham Row, Dublin |
| KinoD is back with another weekend Filmmaking Kabaret!
From absolute beginners to seasoned experts, this event is open to anyone willing to get involved in the filmmaking process.
KinoD will kick off with introductions and a pitching session. Ideas for films will be pitched to the whole group, followed by networking in the Lab. This will be a great chance to meet other filmmakers, team up, brainstorm and attach yourself to the projects you are interested in. Directors can start rehearsing with their talents, coordinating the shoot with their crew or can even start shooting straight away.
KinoD will facilitate the completion of all movies but participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment: Cameras, lenses, sound recorders, microphones, lights, computers for editing, props, costumes, makeup and so on.

To release their album, she must convince Daredjane’s heir, Anthony, a small-town market vendor who has never liked his distant relative, let alone his music. Their two worlds clash between good and bad taste, popular and chic, sincerity and lies. Unless love gets in the way, of course… |
