Minister for Communities and Minister for Health join Arts Council funded Arts Care NI for Fleadh for All
We were delighted to have the Minister for Communities Gordon Lyons, Minister for Health Mike Nesbitt and the CEO of the Belfast Trust, Jennifer Welsh join Arts Care NI for the Fleadh for all traditional concert and tea dance.
Arts Care NI are core funded by the Arts Council of NI and by the National Lottery and this helps them employ around 40 artists across all the Health and Social Care Trusts in NI to reach approximately 23,000 participants each year.

Arts Council funds project supporting perinatal health
The arts organisation Commedia of Errors received funding from the Arts Council’s Mental Health and Arts Partnership Programme (Arts in Mind) co-funded by The National Lottery and The Baring Foundation.
‘Holding Space’ is a creative wellbeing programme that supports new mums to express themselves, navigate difficult emotions and challenges in their first year with a new baby and connect with others through the arts.

ACNI Collection at Down Arts Centre as part of August Craft Month
Until 18 September, Objects and Innovations will be on exhibit at Down Arts Centre to celebrate Craft Month.
The exhibition platforms both new and established craft and sculpture artists across 33 pieces of work, from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Collection.

Arts Council Opens Learning and Development Opportunity in India
The Vedaaranya Artists’ Learning and Development Opportunity at Ramgarh Shekhawati Rajasthan, in association with the British Council and the Shruti Foundation is now open for applications.
This is a one-month long learning and development opportunity to travel to India and build creative experience and artistic exploration. Open to all disciplines but particularly suited to crafts people and textile designers.

PPL Momentum Accelerator grantee open for applications
The PPL Momentum Music Fund, run by PRS Foundation in partnership with PPL, Creative Wales and Arts Council of Northern Ireland is offering grants of £5k-£15k for UK based artists and bands to springboard their careers to the next stage.
Previous recipients are some of the best in the UK music industry including Little Simz, Sam Fender, Kae Tempest, Hannah Peel, K-Trap and more. Electronic artist Mount Palomar from Northern Ireland is set to benefit from the upcoming fund.
