| AATG | MENTOR DAY | “Backstage Bites”

Saturday, 24th December was one for the books! We hosted our AATG Mentoring Day – “Backstage Bites”, an ambitious and inspiring experience for our Arts Across the Genres participants.
The day brought together creative experts from across the cultural sector to mentor participants, offer guidance, and celebrate the arts in all its forms. From graphic design to music, textiles to makeup, our mentors shared skills, stories, and insider tips on navigating creative careers.
One highlight was a drop-in sustainable tote bag workshop with the incredible textile designer Angeline Murphy, where participants got to make their own eco-friendly creations.

| | | Ria Kirkwood - Event Assistant We're delighted to welcome Ria to the MayWe team as our Event Assistant for her placement this year! Originally from Scotland, Ria is currently studying for a Masters in Arts Management at Queen's University Belfast and has joined us for some hands-on experience across all things events as part of her course.
Enjoy three fun facts about Ria! She plays the violin and loves performing with her local orchestra back home. She originally started university studying maths. She rows competitively on her university team.

🏰 Lois & Lilly’s Day Out in Dundalk |

Lois and Lilly packed their bags and headed to Dundalk for a brilliant day of chats, castles and big ideas!
Their visit to Dundalk Town Hall included a warm welcome from Louth Heritage Officer Brendan McSherry and lots of inspiring conversation.
The day was all about shaping an exciting new PEACEPLUS programme for Newry, Mourne & Down District Council, exploring the fascinating world of medieval castles and tower houses across East Ulster and County Louth.
With site visits, stories from the past, hands-on activities and plenty of shared heritage to uncover, this programme is set to bring history to life - one tower at a time. Watch this space… exciting things are coming! 🏰✨
