I tried updating my existing install and continued to run into issues
with MySQL, so I decided to wipe everything and start fresh. I grabbed
a new copy of the setup script and now I get this...

$ python go-studio.py env
New python executable in env/bin/python
Installing setuptools............done.

I see some similar issues on google, but it appears this should be
fixed.

Please advise, thanks!

This is an issue with our package repository. It will be fixed pretty
soon. In the mean time, if you know how to create a virtualenv, you
can install Studio 0.5.1 for the official pypi using easy_install
Studio.
