Events newsletter

Studio Brick
September 2008

Dear friends,

This month is pretty quiet @ Brick.  I've been absurdly busy over the summer with 6(!) shows in addition to teaching workshops and hosting various events.  The other Brick artists have been keeping busy in their own way as well.  So, no large events at Brick this month, although we will be open for Art Walk, at least for the early part of the evening!

Just a couple of notes:  some people have been having trouble finding Brick.

During Art Walk evenings, if the doors at 214 1st Ave S are closed, there is an entranceway (stairs going down) next to the bookstore to the left of the main doors.  This entrance will usually have a sandwich board saying "Artists and galleries open for Art Walk" in front of it if it is open.  We also try to keep the doors on Occidental Park (by Grand Central Bakery's entrance) open.  Brick is downstairs, on the south side of the building.

Thursday, September 4 - Art Walk @ Studio Brick

214 1st Ave S, lower level

We will be open during the earlier part of the evening (6 - 7, perhaps a bit later depending on traffic) for Art Walk.  The show that was scheduled to go up in September has been cancelled, so Blick zum Objekt will still be on display.

Awake/Asleep @ Poco Wine Room

1408 E Pine @ 14th

This show will also continue to be on display @ Poco through at least the first half of the month.  If you haven't had a chance to make it to Poco yet, I'd definitely recommend treating yourself to a night out for dinner or just a drink.
