Skin Deep
Mina Bast will be showing her work "Skin Deep" in November at Studio Brick. "Skin Deep is a photographic exploration of the age old question of Beauty. What makes someone beautiful? Nati Amos is the main subject of this study, a nationally known spoken word artist and truly unique individual. Less than three decades old she has survived nearly 30 different surgeries that have left her scarred, but certainly not a victim. True beauty does not always come in conventional forms and Nati shows us this with beauty and grace. She embodies sexiness and confidence and shows us that true beauty comes from within and is hardly skin deep." The exhibit also features some of Mina's original pastels. You can see some of Mina's work at www.thesmittenone.com.

There will be an artist's reception this Thursday, November 6th from 5PM to 8PM at Studio Brick:
214 First S.,  Lower level arcade.

Additionally, the gallery will be open for daytime hours Thursday November 13th, Thursday November 20th, and Friday November 28th.

Studio Brick member Matt Freedman is proud to announce the launch of his new website, www.silentcolor.com. You can sign up for his announcement list at that address, and read the latest issue at: http://tinyurl.com/6guoda
