VISTA  5 USER DATABASE

THIS IS NOT A OFFICIAL STUDER WEBSITE

We have set up a web page for us users of Studer Vista audio mixers where we are able to share our knowledge of the Vista system.

Please visit it, https://sites.google.com/site/vista5users/

Please add to it, until I figure out how you can add to it directly, send me anything you want to add. Tips, tricks, known problems & bugs, your personal work flow, pictures, anything, You can leave posts there as well, And we plan to combine this group and the Web page

Send to apro...@gmail.com and I will attempt to add it

Let us know what you think

If you guys would like, I'd be happy to set up a full blown wiki that we can all edit, upload docs and config data, etc...

We learned a whole bunch (as James can attest by my numerous calls and texts) at our recent show. I put a bit of a brain dump and some photos on my website (includes some non-audio stuff too) at http://benbloomberg.com/powers-global-simulcast/

The good news is VER has really great rental rates on Vista5 and Vista1 desk, the bad news is they aren't the best at giving you all the bits and pieces you need to get a system functional so you have to really stay on top of them to make sure you get the right cards, fiber, etc... There were even a few broken parts. But we got two consoles for 70% of what we paid for a single desk from other companies so it was still probably worth it in the end. We lost about 2 days of prep to fixing console issues.

I'm happy to set us up a studer.media.mit.edu wiki if people think that would be useful.

Ben

Hello list,

Anyone know whether it's possible on a Vista 5m2 to set up aux's 33 and
beyond as prefader? Since these aux's are not accessible via the global
view controls I'm a bit stymied. Is there something I've missed in the
control bay / contribute mode screen?

Thanks in advance,
gw
