Hi Everyone,

Apologies for any cross-postings you may receive, however I thought
you might be interested in this notice ... Although the timing of this
session may overlap with your final exams, you may be interested in
contacting them about future possibilities.

Notice follows:


The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW), funded by
Employment Ontario, is sponsoring “The Workplace Essential Skills
Partnership” (WESP). A dynamic employment program designed
specifically to provide professionals, with disabilities, the up to
date skills and support required to participate and / or advance in
their career of choice.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Program participants must be:
• A person with a disability or medical barrier to employment
• Unemployed / underemployed (working a maximum of 20 hours / week)
• Working age, 16 years and over
• Resident of the Greater Toronto Area
• Committed to a “full-time” job search

BENEFITS
• Development / enhancement of the Nine Essential Skills sought by
employers
• Four-week employability enhancement sessions offered throughout the
year
• A full-time Job Developer
• Employer networking events
• Job shadow opportunities
• Job Finding Club
• Ongoing support and guidance from WESP team

This 4 week, full-time curriculum is designed to tackle current issues
such as:
recession-proofing, professionalism, office etiquette and culture,
effective communication, problem-solving, disclosure and disability,
job accommodation, employment equity, interview techniques, and many
other important topics.

When it comes to employability skills, WESP graduates are head and
shoulders above other job applicants!
