Applications are invited in the prescribed form for the following PG/M.Tech courses for the academic session 2012-13
Regular PG Courses
Biotechnology: Science Graduate with Biology as a subject at 10+2 level
Date of entrance exam: 19th July, 2012, 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.
Botany: Science Graduate with Hons in Botany or 45% marks in aggregate with Botany as a subject
Date of entrance exam: 19th July, 2012, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Chemistry: Science graduate with Hons in Chemistry or 45% marks in aggregate with Chemistry as a subject
Date of entrance exam: 20th July, 2012, 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.
Economics: Science graduate with Hons in Economics or 45% marks in aggregate with Economics as a subject
Date of entrance exam: 20th July, 2012, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
MCA: Orissa Joint Entrance Examinations (OJEE) merit list
Date of entrance exam: As per Orissa JEE
Physics: Science Graduate with Hons in Physics or 45% marks in aggregate with Physics as a subject
Date of entrance exam: 19th July, 2012, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Zoology: Science graduate with Hons in Zoology or 45% marks in aggregate with Zoology as a subject
Date of entrance exam: 20th July, 2012, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
For SC/ST students eligibility is Hons/Pass in the concerned subject

M.Sc Wild Life and Biodiversity Conservation: Science graduate with Biology as a subject at 10+2 level
M.A./M.Sc Mathematics: Arts/Science graduate with Mathematics as a subject
MBA: Orissa Joint Entrance Examinations (OJEE) merit list
M.A./M.Sc Anthropology and Tribal Studies: Graduate in any discipline
M.Lib & Inf. Science: Graduate in any discipline
Master of Law (LLM): Graduate in Law
M.Sc Remote Sensing and GIS: Graduate in any discipline with Geography as a subject
M.Sc Bioinformatics: Science graduate with Biology as a subject at +2 level

Self Financing M.Tech Courses
Nano Science and Technology: MCA / M.Sc in Computer Science with Math at +3 level; M.Sc in Math / Physics / Chemistry / Material Science / Statistics / Math and Computing; M.Sc in Botany / Zoology / Biotech with Math at +2 level or above and with minimum of 60% mark in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Electrical with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
Date of entrance exam: 23rd July, 2012, 11.00 p.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Computer Science and Engineering: MCA/M.Sc in Computer Science/Chemistry/Statistics (with Physics and Maths combination at +3 level)/Physics/Math/Math and Computing with 60% marks or equivalent; or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Electrical with 60% marks or equivalent
Date of entrance exam: 23rd July, 2012, 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.
Biotechnology: M.Sc in Botany / Zoology / Biotech / Bioinformatics / Life Science / Microbiology / Wild Life / WL&BC / Environ Biology / Biochemistry with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA or B.E./B.Tech in Biotech/Engineering Science with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
Date of entrance exam: 24th July, 2012, 11.00 p.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Atmospheric Science: MCA/M.Sc in Math/Physics/Chemistry/Material Science/Statistics/Computer Science/Math and Computing with minimum of 60% mark in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
Date of entrance exam: 24th July, 2012, 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.
Reservation: Reservation of seats will be as per the Govt approved norms
SC/ST students admitted into SFC courses will get 25% waiver of the tuition fee which is a part of the course fee
Candidates awaiting results can also apply, but they have to submit results on or before the date of entrance test 19th July, 2012
Application Form: Request for application form, by post, can be sent to the Chairman, PG Council, North Orissa University, Takatpur, Baripada-757003, Odisha
The cost of application form and information brochure is Rs 250/- by hand and Rs 300/- by post
The application form can also be downloaded from the University website www.nou.nic.in and be submitted to the University with a Bank draft of Rs 250/-
All payments should be made through Bank draft in favour of the Comptroller of Finance, North Orissa University, payable at Baripada

Completed application forms shall be submitted to the Chairman, PG Council, North Orissa University, Baripada by hand or by registered post/speed post
Applicant shall appear the entrance test as per date and time and separate admit card will not be sent for the entrance test
