Hello! 

We had to reschedule our SHR/C-STAHR journal club due to the blizzard, but we are happy to announce that is event will be happening on Wednesday, April 20 from 6-8 pm.  Please see below for details and send any questions my way!

C-STAHR is collaborating with SHR to host a journal club to discuss implicit bias and discrimination in healthcare. In addition to the journal discussion, we will have our C-STAHR community members in attendance to discuss their own experiences of racism in healthcare. This has been a fun event in the past and we're thrilled to help host it once again!

What?  Journal Club hosted by C-STAHR and SHR to discuss topics of implicit bias and discrimination in healthcare. Like all SHR events, this is a potluck event.

Who?  Anyone interested! (SHR members, students, faculty, community members, etc.)

When?

Where?  Ani and Abby’s House (12926 E. Parklane Dr., Aurora, CO)

What do I do before the event? We'll be discussing the attached article on bias as well as this cool article from the ACP Hospitalist.  We also encourage you to examine your own biases by taking the Harvard IAT (link to the IAT portal)
