I'll send this in to student life tomorrow night.

Also I'm curious if anyone else wants to table next week in down commons to talk about the event with people. That might also be a good way to prepare, too.

STUDENT ORGANIZING WORKSHOP & DISCUSSION

What does democracy look like? This Sunday, March 25th, join the new campus group Students Against Oppression to consider what a politically organized student body at Bennington could mean. The afternoon will begin with a workshop titled "Building Student Power to Win Victories and Change the World" by Boston organizer and historian Patrick St. John (founder of forstudentpower.org). Next, we will hold a facilitated discussion to hear each other about issues that would be most relevant to address as an organized student body.

This will be the first of many events by Student Against Oppression to support affirming and non-hierarchical political action on campus and beyond.

The workshop will begin at 4PM on Sunday, March 25th. Location is currently TBA. Keep an eye out for posters, or go to http://bit.ly/zoTWbp to subscribe to our email list. SAO will also be tabling in commons throughout the week.

Forest - this is good.

We should also get this in Collegeweek, and maybe "ding" in the dhall at meals slightly before 25 March but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
I just added the acronym "SAO" after the first mention of "Students Against Oppression"

did the posters get made?

lookin forward to sunday evening,
solidarity,

Thanks Lauren. Good suggestion re college week.

I'll send this into student life in a couple hours, so if anyone wants to take a look and make suggestions there's still time!

No word on using CAPA yet; not even a confirmation that the request was received.
