Pretty insane then again they guy that reported Madoff to the SEC had done so repeatedly year after year but to deaf ears. I'm just not a believer in two wrongs amounting to a right. I would not advocate not paying unless you truly have a hardship. I gave SM the money they demanded but with that they hung themselves with the rope I gave them. Perhaps right now no one gives a?,!! but in due time that will change as already the issue is getting more attention. I know SM knows this as well because they attempted to cover up/miss attribute the payment. They were unsuccessful. I point out that is due to my continuous payments and following the rules of the game. They are not busting my chops; I'm busting theirs;
The ombudsman office is a sham: I've had a complaint never addressed other than email confirmation with a case number .The ombudsman office is totally contracted out to Pearson ed collections for a number of years now. As a private for profit company they are focused on profits first & all partnerships towards that. IOW there's nothing stopping them from intentionally sitting on complaints against their buddies Luke Sallie Mae. The fed oversight & accountability is nill so its no surprise...
