RCC Garden Plots Available

Hey SSC!
We still have a few plots available for the community garden. If anyone is interested (or you know anyone who might be), please fill out the attached application and return it to me by Friday, October 19. You will also find the garden rules attached (just in case you want to know what you're getting yourself into :).
We hope to officially assign plots the following week (by Oct. 26) and get started on winter veggies ASAP. You volunteers will have dibs!

Hello Braden,
As far as I know, there are 2 "work days" being held each week. One is held on Fridays begging at 08:00am, lead by Dan, and the other held on Saturdays at 5:00 pm, lead by Preston. Hope this helps.

Hi Bonnie –
Everyone will need to fill out an application now just so we can have your info and account for each plot. We haven’t discussed it “officially” but I’m pretty sure that students who have put in numerous volunteer hours in preparing the garden will not be charged a fee for their plot (at least for the first year!)

Yes, Clarice! Come plant them. And no problem, Bonnie. If any of you would like to cultivate your own little section of the garden, please go ahead and fill out an application. I have a bunch of copies from Dr. White.
When we do get plots assigned, I'm sure some of the plants that already exist will be removed in favor of others (many will be past their prime anyway). So, just be aware that anything that gets planted outside your own plots may be subject to the whims and desires of the future plot owner. That said, you who have already volunteered have dibs on plots, so you are welcome to start something sooner than the Oct. 19th deadline for applications.
