reminder - potluck and movie

Hi all -
I'm not sure if Dan's computer is up and running, so I thought I'd send out a quick reminder of our potluck lunch and movie night on Thursday. First - bring a dish to share in the garden on Thurs at our regular meeting time (12:50) and we'll celebrate a great semester. I'll bring some pumpkin bread made with that lovely pumpkin we've been watching grow for the last couple of months (thanks to Ryan!) Then, we'll wind things up with our last movie night of Fall...YERT - at 6pm in the DL-auditorium. (http://www.yert.com/) Spread the word!

Hey everyone, 

Thanks for the food and good times at the potluck yesterday. Just a heads up, we are still planning a day hiking trip to conclude this great semester. Since we have no word on weather/travel conditions for the "Bridge to Nowhere", Dr. Huff and I have discussed and chosen to take the hike at the "Cougar Crest Trial" near the Big Bear Discovery Center at Fawnskin, CA. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and the conditions were fine. A little snowy but manageable. Cold weather clothing and good hiking/walking shoes are advised. The hike will be on December 15. 

The day we agreed to take the "bring to nowhere" hike during the November 21 SSC meeting. No word on official time due to schedules and the possibility of carpool requests.
