Can I escape collection agencies by going abroad?

I'm being stalked by another one at my current job (calling on a toll free number reserved for customers). I think its common sense that they'll never get a penny from me if I'm put of work but their actions are causing problems . These collection agencies are vermin. They stalked me during the last few months of my mom's life when she was terminal and dying. I begged them to stop for a month when i knew she'd be gone. They refused and called even more. I think it's a requirement that you not have a soul to do collections for a living

A friend in Europe said i could stay with him and he'd give me a job (he has his own business). If I take him up on his offer, can these collection agencies come after me in Europe?
