Anybody ever gotten a job where they did a credit check?

Hello my fellow student loan slaves,

I am currently looking for a better job. Why? So that maybe I can try to dig myself out of this black hole I'm in.

There's a job that I'm really interested in. There are good benefits. I've made it through two interviews. If I get the third (which I think I have a good shot at it), they will do a background check AND a credit check. I'm afraid that will kill any opportunity I have for getting this job. Also, it's at an art school... you know, the kind where young blossoming artists who can't afford college take out loans? I really hope I get this job but I'm worried about the credit check.

Has anybody, in spite of the stain on their credit as a result of student loan default, gotten a job that did a credit check?
