Dear parents, 

we hope you had a wonderful summer. Riverside Huaxia Chinese School 2020-2021 school year will start on 9/12/2020. In view of the current epidemic situation, Chinese School decided to fully adopt online classes in the fall semester. Teachers of all grades will contact students who have registered and completed tuition payment before the 1st day of school.

Below is the schedule of the first school day.

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Parents Meeting via Zoom. School staff and board members will attend。 The ZOOM meeting invite will be sent out beforehand.

1:00 pm – 1:50 pm  Open Classroom. Parents will attend the Zoom class of their child and communicate with the teacher directly, asking questions and providing feedbacks.

2:00 pm – 2:50 pm  regular school class.

The school continues providing language classes for 11 grades, from K through 9, and AP Prep class. From the second week (9/19), the class schedule is:

K-9: 1:00-3:00pm

Enrichment: 3:00-4:00pm

AP Prep:  1:00-4:00pm

This year's enrichment classes include History and idioms, Phonics, and Chinese Poetry.

尊敬的老师和家长朋友们，

希望大家都度过了愉快的暑假！河滨华夏中文学校2020-2021学年将于2020年9月12日开学，鉴于目前的疫情, 中文学校决定 2020-2021学年秋季学期完全采用网课教学。 各年级老师会在开学前联系已经注册和缴费的学生。

开学日具体时间安排如下：

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm ZOOM MEETING 全体家长会，学校领导及工作人员、董事会成员与大家见面，汇报学校工作计划、回答家长问题。ZOOM Meeting 链接会在开学日之前发出。

1:00 pm – 1:50 pm  开放教室 (Open Classroom): 请家长们到自己孩子所在ZOOM CLASS和老师直接交流您对教学的期望及要求，聆听老师的教学方法，老师们也会倾听家长的建议；

2:00 pm – 2:50 pm  各班学生正常上课。

2020-2021学年，河滨华夏中文学校继续开设11个年级的语言班（K – 9 年级，AP预备班）和两个双语班（初级，中级班）教学。自第二周9月19日起，课程时间如下：

K-9中文班: 1:00-3:00pm

才艺课:       3:00-4:00pm

AP 中文预备班:  1:00-4:00pm

新学年预计提供的才艺课有成语故事、拼音和诗歌朗诵与鉴赏，具体开班状况将根据实际报名情况而定。 我们衷心希望家长朋友们向我们推荐更多的才艺老师：舞蹈、唱歌，写作，编程，武术，手工或者适合家长们参与的才艺课都欢迎！
