Hello teams,

Hope all is good and you're all set to arrive on Saturday!  Remember you should all be at the exhibit hall entrance at the convention center for our Rules meeting at 1pm.  Let us know if you are having trouble being on target for this.  Also, please refer to http://tinyurl.com/scc13handout for updated schedule information and administrative details throughout the rest of the week and when you arrive.  Looking forward to seeing you all there!

One of the teams just asked for some clarification about what your badge will get you into, and I figured it You can attend anything that a "Technical Program" badge will let you into.  This should be everything except the Workshops and Tutorials.  The BoFs, talks, keynotes, education program broader engagement program except Sunday ... all are included.  We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this!

More details about what the Technical Program badge covers are here (but I agree, it is a bit unclear) http://sc13.supercomputing.org/content/registration:

The Technical Program fee includes admission to all conference sessions, exhibits, the Monday night Exhibits opening event, Thursday night event, and one copy of the SC13 proceedings.

SC High Performance Computing Interconnections (HPCI) Program
SC conference attendees with Technical Program badges are welcome to attend Broader Engagement and Educator Program sessions Tuesday-Friday.  To participate in the Broader Engagement and Educator Program on Sunday, the attendee must also register for the Workshop Program for those days.  See Pricing below for Workshops

Thanks Daniel.  Do we also need to check-in with the normal conference registration people, or will you have all our badges at the 1pm Rules meeting?

Jeff

Registration opens Saturday at 1pm, so expect that we'll gather at the entrance to the convention center hall that's closest to the conference registration area.  I don't expect there to be lines on Saturday at 1, so we can probably all get our badges together right before we go into the hall.

Actually, I originally said in the Google document at http://tinyurl.com/scc13handout that we should meet at the entrance to Exhibit Hall E, which is at the upper-right corner of the map shown at http://iebms.heiexpo.com/sc/SC13Floorplan.pdf .

However, I'm not convinced that's near the conference registration area, and I'm not even convinced of which doors to the exhibit hall will even be open on Saturday at 1pm, so let's just meet AT the conference registration area.  This is probably at the center of the *bottom* of the map at http://iebms.heiexpo.com/sc/SC13Floorplan.pdf

I have updated the Google doc to reflect this, and I'll try to put a sign at the Exhibit Hall E entrance (if I can even get to it) to redirect anyone who somehow goes there and doesn't see this message or the Google doc.
