Master Mason Degree Trip to Alexandria, VA & Arlington National Cemetery

May 6 & 7, 2023

 

Lafayette Lodge is sponsoring a weekend bus trip to confer a Master Mason Degree at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia.  On Sunday, May 7, our Worshipful Master, WB Fred Schwartz and Senior Deacon, Bro. Derrick Roberts will be placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

 

Cost:  $100 per person, two per room.   If you wish to room alone, cost is $200.

Includes:  Bus ride throughout weekend, room cost and breakfast Sunday morning at the hotel, Courtyard Alexandria Old Town/Southwest.  If you are traveling yourself and staying at the hotel, please let them know you are with Lafayette Lodge so we get credit for the room.  

 

Additional Costs:  Lunch both days and dinner Saturday night will be at Aldo’s Italian Kitchen, next to hotel.

 

Itinerary:  Saturday, May 6, 2023

8:30am:  leave from Theodore Roosevelt Lodge, 82 Elm St., Carteret.

12 noon:  arrive at hotel.

12:30  Ladies leave for lunch and fun at local winery.

2:20  Men leave for memorial

3:00  Master Mason Degree, Tuxedo’s for Degree Team

4:00  Ladies leave winery

5:30  Men leave Memorial

7:00  Dinner at Aldo’s Italian Kitchen

 

Sunday, May 7, 2023

7-8:15am:  Breakfast at hotel

8:30  Leave hotel

8:45 90 minute tour of George Washington Memorial

10:30  Leave for Arlington National Cemetery

10:45  Arrive at Arlington National Cemetery (they have security going into the cemetery)

12:15  Wreath Laying at Tomb of Unknown Soldier by WB Fred Schwartz & Bro. Derrick Roberts

1:00  Leave cemetery

4:30  Arrive back in Carteret, NJ
