Dear Friends,

I am happy to confirm that, God willing, we shall have our annual  pilgrimage to the Church of St Boniface on the Isle of Wight on Saturday June 20th. This is shortly after the Feast of St Boniface on the 18th.

There is a WhatsApp group 'Bonchurch Pilgrimage' for sharing information about the pilgrimage. It's the same group as last year, so you may already be in it.  If not, you can join using this link if you are planning on coming. Here's a reminder of a previous pilgrimage.

Transport:
We will do it by car sharing.
If you can offer places, or if you need a place, please post in the WhatsApp group.  It's understood that passengers will share the cost of the ferry and petrol with the driver.

The timetable:
We suggest to get the 09:00 ferry from Southampton Red Funnel terminal (arrive between 08:15 and 08:30 - location: https://w3w.co/drew.boring.fuels) . This should arrive in East Cowes around 10:00. It is about a 45 min drive to Bonchurch. See below for the location.
As it is the Isle of Wight festival weekend, the ferries will be filling up, so it's worth booking in good time. Prices are currently normal but will increase. If you linger for a bit on the website checking tickets, it may offer you a subscription and a promo code. You need to specify the number of passengers. We suggest that you book the maximum of 5 to facilitate car sharing.

11:00 Hours and confessions
11:30 Divine Liturgy
13:00 Clear up
14:00 Picnic on the beach, weather permitting.
15:45 Depart (or not, if you want more time on the Island)
16:45 Arrive East Cowes ferry terminal (location: https://w3w.co/endlessly.lilac.menswear) for 17:30 crossing
18:30 arrive Southampton

The address is:
St Boniface Old Church,Bonchurch Village Rd, Ventnor PO38 1RQ
PLEASE NOTE: The church is at the end of a narrow road and there is no parking. We suggest you drop off passengers at the junction (location: https://w3w.co/obstruction.gratuity.bumping) from where it is a short walk to the church. You can park at Shore Road Car Park (location: https://w3w.co/speeds.master.perfumed) and walk to the church by Shore Rd, a lane off to the left and a footpath. See map below.
