Applications are now open for a position within a highly interdisciplinary project. The doctoral student will work in close collaboration with the Centre for Medical Humanities and the Center for Preventive Psychiatry to investigate how historical discourses and contemporary practices interact and influence the legitimacy, authority and social consequences of psychiatric knowledge. The position is open to applicants with degrees in the history of ideas, history and other historical disciplines, but also to applicants with other specializations in their studies within the humanities or social sciences.

 

PhD positions in Sweden have very good conditions: Four years of full-time employment including all benefits (up to five years if extended for teaching and administrative duties).
