People are forever talking about the "learning curve" but very few
people realize just how costly that curve can be. Everyone in business
pretty much agrees that time is money, and that's exactly what a
learning curve is-time. So the longer a person spends learning to do
something, the more expensive it becomes. The problem is that the
costs of the learning curve aren't paid by writing out a check. They
are found in a lack of efficiency, wasted effort, diminished
productivity, and the incredibly wasteful process of trial and error.
Business people sometimes refer to these "non-cash" items as soft
costs, but make no mistake about it-they are costs just the same,
because they will all clearly reduce profits.
As a growing number of online entrepreneurs venture out onto the
internet in order to launch home based marketing enterprises, they are
becoming increasingly familiar with the concept-and expense-of the
learning curve. Internet marketing, particularly in its latest
iteration labeled Web 2.0, is a conceptually simple, functionally
complex process that can literally take years to master.
On top of that, the tools, techniques, strategies and tactics that
successful internet marketers use can change almost daily, making much
of what one learns completely obsolete and useless in a relatively
short period of time. Entrepreneurs who undertake the challenge of
learning about internet marketing from books and video training
programs wind up getting frustrated very quickly, because there is so
much to learn-and to sort through-while desired success is long in
coming.
More and more of these fledgling entrepreneurs are finding out that
there is a better-and much more efficient way-to find massive success
online. Even savvy internet marketers often copy what other internet
marketers are doing, preferring to implement tried and proven
techniques instead of setting out to reinvent the wheel. But for
someone just starting out in internet marketing-or for someone who's
been doing it for awhile without much success-the best approach is to
deploy a proven and tested turnkey system.
The key is to find a home based business opportunity that is based on
a turnkey system developed by highly successful internet superstars
who have made their fortunes using the exact same system. This
approach can shorten the ever expensive learning curve dramatically,
and can help an entrepreneur to launch the business and start making
money very quickly.
