No results after a run

Hi,

I recently have installed Structure 2.3.3. I created a project, but
when I started a run, there is no result in the simulation summary.
What can I do?

Data Information

Number of Individuals: 66
Number of Loci: 12
Ploidy: 3
Missing Data is Represented by: -1


Data Format

Data Contains Individual Labels
Data Contains Population Identifiers
Data Contains Row of Marker Names

You can save the project first, then shut down your program, and reopen it again. It might help.

I resolved this situation this way.

Leticial advised that “Open Structure, create a new project, set parameters and go to "Start  a job". If Structure bugs, close the program, re-open it and, this time, do
not create a new project again.
Instead, go to "Open Project" (or "Recent Projects") and open the
project you created before.
"Start a Job" from this opened Project and It should work.”

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfourtunally, I got no improvements.
The data file opens, I can set parameters and it runs, but allways
appears this leyend 'WARNING: Unable to open output file...' so there
is no output. Any suggestion? I would really apprecciated.

Hello, Ricardo,

        Sorry, I had never met the problem as you discribed when use the same vision STRUCTURE. Maybe somebody else can help you if you provide detailed information about your operating system, sorry for that and good luck.

Do You hove right's to wrote a files on this machine? 

Maybe problem is not the STRUCTURE,but Your rights on this machine.

Ricardo,
Is a results folder being created at all? Check and see if there is a
folder where you told it to store the results. Go into that folder and
see if you have any _f or _q files. (I'm not sure what you requested.)
If they are there, it will take a little more work to get a summary of
your results, but it should be possible.
If not, could you either send me, or post on the list, the input and
params files? I could take a quick look to see if anything obvious
stands out.
I also agree with Adii that you should make sure you and the program
have administrator status. This can be problematic if you are using a
shared computer.

Hi All -

I'm having Ricardo's issue also. For me, the "Results" folder is
created, but there are no f. or q. files there. I am the administrator
on my machine - not shared. Don't know what you mean by "make sure...
the program has administrator status"? There is a "PlotData" folder
that is completely populated.

Any additional thoughts? Memory issue?

I'm having the exact same problem as Matt. I've tried with multiple
values of K and smaller runs, but there aren't any files in the
"Results" folder that is nested in my parameter folder. I'm running v.
2.3.3 on a Windows Vista machine. Any tips? Thanks.

I solved this problem thanks to Adii's suggestion. I'm running structure 2.3.4 on Ubuntu 12.04. When I run structure using k 1-10, the analysis run very quickly and stimulation summary shows nothing. I re-open the software and run the analysis as suggested. Still nothing. Instead of ./structure, I type sudo ./structure. When I use sudo ./structure instead of ./structure, the GUI has more buttons and icons. I'm still waiting for the analysis to complete.
