Hi Keri,Please check your input file and input parameters to make sure they match. Usually the first line in the input file contains the header for each of the loci. Here it sounds like you told Structure in your input parameters that you have x loci but they detected x+1 loci in the header. If you still have trouble, perhaps you can post the first few lines of your input file, and your input parameters.

Hello,
I am new to this group. I'm trying to use Structure 2.3.4, I'm trying to analyse some data for red deer, I've saved the data I've got from genealex which I converted into a .txt file. Yet when I try to run it through Structure I get the 'Bad Format in Data Source: Data entries are more than expected (17) at line 1'. I've read the manual and watched videos on youtube and I am stuck as to what I've done wrong.
I am using the programme on my Macbook pro, running operating system 10.10.5. I don't know if it is something to do with that or not?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
I checked the parametres, as has my supervisor (who eventually got it to work on her laptop after copying and pasting several times), she felt it was a glitch or that it was picking up on something hidden, as it shows clearly 48 rows and 34 columns. I would like to run this myself so I can have a play with the software.
