Hi everyone,

This question is out of topic, but I'm pretty sure some people know how to phase sequences.
I have been trying to phase my meg files on DnaSP, but every time I try to upload my files, it gives me "Data File error!".

I know there are a lot of other programs to phase sequences, but none of them have tutorials.

Any recommendations?

I attached my mega files here. I also tried the fasta format, but it also gives me the same error.

Best,

Mustafa

Dear Mustafa,

I actually have a tutorial for this:

This tutorial was written for Windows, but you can use Arlequin on my virtual machine, if desired.

First, convert your data from FASTA to Arlequin format:

If you haven't used Arlequin before, here's a tutorial for using it on my Virtual machine:

But I stress that Arlequin will work under Windows -- it was designed for Windows. You can download it for Windows here:

Best wishes,
Josh

Amazing. I'll try it out asap and will let you know with the results!

Also, thank you so much for all of the tutorials you created. You help so much to the newbies in the community.
