Filter Synchronizer doesnt seem to synch issues

Hi, 

I have 3 separate structure boards for 3 of my teams and I am trying to setup a new structure board that combines issues from all three Team boards, using a filter synchronizer, but running into problems here. 

I used a filter  to pull issues from the 3 team structures and see the results just fine - (issue in Structure(Team1) or issue in Structure(Team2) or issue in Structure(Team3)) Order by Due ASC

I was able to setup my new Combined structure by running a synch on this filter -  and that worked well also.

Now when I add a new issue to one of my Team structures, I was hoping the filter synchronizer would add it to the combined structure, but it didn''t work.  The filter has picked up the new story, but the synchronizer doesn't seem to be picking it up.

Can you please help me understand if I need to be doing something else?

Thank you for your request. 

The problem here is that the synchronizers are only triggered when there is some change done to an issue - like updating fields, links, etc. Adding issues to a structure or moving them in a structure does not trigger synchronizers.

The functionality for building a structure out of several smaller ones will be added in Structure 3.0, which are working on right now, but since it will take us some time to finish and release this version, there are a few workarounds you can try for now.

If your team structures are populated by filter synchronizers, you can just setup a filter synchronizer for the Combined structure and use the filter, which contains issues from all three team structures.

If this is not the case, you have an option to manually run the re-sync for the Filter synchronizer for the Combined structure, or use a plugin to run this synchronizer on schedule. We’ve developed this plugin to demonstrate how to use Structure API, but eventually there are a few customers, who are using it in the their setup:
