1. Epic level –>
2. –> Story level via “is a story of” link (actually used “New feature”, “Improvement” issue types) –>
3. –> Tech details level ( “Sub-Task” issue type is used)
4. –> Bugs level via “is a defect of” link (for bugs that impacts specific Sub-task)
3.1 –> Bugs level via “is a defect of” link (for bugs that impacts not specific Sub-task but entire story)
Unfortunately I had to disable ‘Links (Defect)’ synchronization since enabling of it resulted in moving the 2-nd (Story) level to the 1-st level (Epic) for those Stories that had linked bugs underneath.
Any help much appreciated!
Hi Denis,
Thanks for your email.
To understand precisely what was going on, I will need the details of your synchronizer configurations. Feel free to copy them from the “Sync Settings” page for this structure.
However, I can guess that your links synchronizers weren’t properly partitioned with filters. From your description, I’d have the following configurations:
1. For the “is a story of” link synchronizer, set child filter to “type in (New Feature, Improvement)”.
2. For the “is a defect of” link synchronizer, set child filter to “type = Bug”.
If that doesn’t help, please post complete configuration of the synchronizers.
Kind regards,
Igor
