Not sure why or how to change this feature.

I have the following setup:

Parent (Story) -> Test Case (Sub-Issue) -> Execution (Sub-Task)

Each time I create a parent issue in Structure I add a Sub-Issue within Structure.  In the Parent window I can see that it's added to the structure correctly.  However, when I go to edit that newly sub-issue it removes it from the structure completely.  I have my default structure setup correctly and I don't see any other additional settings that would affect it from taking it out of the structure.

The same thing happens when I add a sub-task to the sub-issue.  Once I edit the sub-task it removes if from the structure.

Any help would be grateful. Thanks!

Andy

Andy,

In my experience, the only mechanism that would automatically modify the structure is the Synchronizer mechanism.  Do you have any Synchronizers turned on?  If so, are they set up to remove non-matching issues?

To check your Synchronizers, go to the Manage Structures page and find your structure in the list.  Take a look at the "Sync With" column to see if any Synchronizers are set on your structure.  If there are, click on the "Settings" link under the "Sync With" entry.  That will take you to a page which list all of the Synchronizers enabled for that structure.  Look for any Synchronizer with "Remove" functionality.  (By the way, you may need 'Control' permissions on the Structure in order to see this info.)

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Chris
