I really like structure. It makes it very simple to review dependencies between issues. I was wondering if there exists a way to display JIRA Capture test sessions in a structure tree. I know they are not high-level issue types, but it would be really convenient for my team if we could expand an issue to see the sessions that were created for it. Any ideas?

Hi Charles,

Thanks for your email. We’re currently work on Structure 3.0, where it will be possible to have different types of items in a structure - such as projects or users.

I don’t think that we’d support JIRA Capture’s test sessions right away in 3.0, but we will possibly do that later. In any case, the “item type” will also be an extensible concept, so other developers could create extensions for Structure add-on that introduce items of a new type. I can image such an extension that brings Structure and JIRA Capture together.

I have created a feature request here - https://jira.almworks.com/browse/HJ-1958 - feel free to sign up and watch / vote / comment.

There’s no ETA for Structure 3.0 yet. In the current version, it is possible to create “meta issues”, each issue representing a test session, and put them into a structure. This creation could be done manually or probably it could be automated.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Igor
