Configuring widget columns + links to other URLs (not JIRA issues)

Hello

I have started testing Structure in an open source licensed JIRA installation. In our setup there are JIRA issues which are linked via the "issue links" JIRA functionality to non-JIRA URLs. These URLs are issues in a "bridged" bug tracker (launchpad.net). The intention is to allow relationship between our JIRA issues and other issues existing elsewhere.

However in the structure widget it is not possible to show these non-JIRA links? When I try to add the column "links" to the widget, only linked JIRA issues show up but not the external URLs.

Is that a bug of a feature? Is there any plan to allow non-JIRA linked URLs to be shown on the widget?

Hello Ilias,

 

The “Links” column in the Structure widget is a standard JIRA column – it displays the same information that is displayed on the Issue Navigator (search results) standard JIRA page, if you add “Links” column there. So this is actually a question for the JIRA team, if they are planning to support external links in that column.

 

However, if you see different data in the Links column in the Structure widget and on the Issue Navigator page – then this might be an issue with Structure, please let me know if that is the case.
