Flashback to the 2021 STRS Board Election

I remember tying to collect signatures for retired professor Rudy Fichtenbaum during the shutdown in the spring of 2020, for the STRS Ohio Board election in 2021. That was a challenge!!! ORTA meetings had been suspended which made access to retired teachers very difficult. One of the OFT locals (Toledo?) had a drive-through nomination petition signing. Retired teachers used the Ohio STRS Member Only Forum to make connections for signing petitions. We collected the signatures and Dr. Fichtenbaum was elected to the Board. If we did it during the shutdown, we can do it now! -  Cindy Murphy
